1)Monday, 5/20- completed Bread Mold Lab report due with rubric filled out & Page 7 new book #2-4
2) Bring in Pig Heart Dissection slip.... if you want to do it... May 21st after school.

4/9- Finish reading frist two pages of fungi packet and then answer these questions in the notebook: What are fungi? Why are they considered parasites? What is their function in ecosystems? How do they digest food? How do they reproduce (both yeast & mold fungi)?
4/4 Finish FIB 264-271 & clean out science folder with anything human body related. New unit starts tomorrow on microbes!
4/2-Feel the Beat Lab to be completed for Wed., 4/3. 100 points and fill out the rubric!
3/27-Extra Credit Sun Safety Poster Contest! Due by Thursday, March 28th
Students in grades K-8 are invited to help raise awareness about sun safety and win great prizes by entering the 2013 SunWise with SHADE Poster Contest, organized by SunWise and the SHADE Foundation. Original, hand-drawn posters (8.5 x 11”) must show five sun safety action steps. The due date is April 1st, and the national winner will receive a family trip to Disney World and a Shade 'N Net shade structure for his/her school. 9/27-1) Find/sketch the "Summer triangle" stars of Deneb (Cygnus); Vega (Lyra); and Altair (Aquila); then find Delphinius (kite shape) 10 degree off the line between Deneb & Altair. These stars & constellations are at zenith and approximately 40 degree S & W of Cygnus, by Friday, 9/28, in notebook.
2) Finish Expanding Universe Age lab by Friday, 9/28- if not turned in on Tuesday.

9/14-Final copy Current Events is due (45 min- this is a longterm assignment) & Astronomy Quiz pages 4-16 (30 min over several days) If you use the Quizlet to study...only use the vocab for the pages 4-16...that Quizlet is for the entire unit.
9/11-For Wednesday, 9/12, verify home directional map for N-S-E-W; check out zenith and see what constellations you can see.
