Hello and welcome to you and your third grader! As we embark on the year together we will have lots of fun and will learn and discover many new things. Third grade is an exciting and fulfilling year. Throughout the year we will be learning many interesting concepts through individual, partnership and group work. Favorite topics of third graders include: Rocks and Minerals, Japan, cursive, multiplication / division, and even some algebra! As a continuation from first and second grade we will enhance our work in Reader's and Writer's Workshop! I anticipate a fun filled and exciting year and look forward to working with your child! I also welcome parents into the classs room to share their talents so let me know if this is of interest to you.
