To earn up to five extra raffles for your class and a chance to win a signed copy of the book World's End (author is visiting in May), you can chose one of the projects below to complete.
Each project requires you to research a topic of your choice and package your new knowledge to present to the class. You will also be expected to include a list of specific sources with a brief explanation as to how you knew they were reliable. *You must use at least 2 different sources to gather your information.
1. Using the CIS Media Center, link to the current events, choose one that interests you. Research one aspect of the topic further and decide on a way to present the information you learned. Examples include writing an original newspaper article, acting out an interview acting as an expert on the topic, videotaping a news-like broadcast discussing the topic, creating your own website or power point.
Remember to get credit, you will need to show me the sources you used and a brief explanation as to how you knew they are reliable.
2. Using Netrekker, create a folder of sources on any topic of interest. Brainstorm questions you have about this topic. After reading at least 3 of your sources, package your knew knowledge to present to the class. For this, I will need to see the notes you took (including your questions). I can provide blank notecards for you to use.
