2/2 Due- Summary of current article on the financial world and its impact on you as a consumer.
Life and Choices Worksheet-create your own personal time-line from age 20 to 60.
Where will you live,what will you do, who will be your closest friends,family,etc.
Discussion : what impact do short,medium and long term goals have upon choices?
Homework-choose a goal you have in life and describe what must be done within a
time-frame to achieve this goal.
2/3 Refer to Goals and how changes occur that make us change,alter or give up our
goals. Activity-Balancing the budget with beans-choices one must make when life
requires one to make difficult decisions.

1/25 New semester begins as does Personal Finance class! Welcome to a class that will provide answers to those questions about
"Where does my money go?" Throughout this class,questions will be answered to provide each student with financial skills
to enter adulthood as discriminating consumers.
Introduction to Course with course outline and expectations.
Introductory activity :"What Does It Take to be a Millionaire?"" Interestingly,millionaires are not born with money but work and save for
it!. Discuss your perceptions.
1/26 Textbooks assigned. Bring to class daily; plus classwork will be supplemented with handouts.
DUE-Every Thursday a current article related to the world of finances either from the newspaper,on-line, or magazine.
A copy of the article with a paragragh summary of the article and its relevance to you as a consumer is required also.
Values and Spending Activity -assess how you spend money;use this activity to assess where does the money go when given a
choice. Are you surprised? Why or why not? Are you similar to your peers? What was the greatest
difference of how you spend money as compared to your peers?
