Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Hello! Welcome to a new school year! Third grade is an exciting year and I am looking forward to working with your child. Together we will have fun learning and discovering new and exciting things. Throughout the year we will be learning many interesting concepts through individual work, partnerships, and group work. In third grade, the children learn to be team players in cooperative learning groups.
Favorite topics of third graders include: Rocks and Minerals, Japan, cursive, multiplication/division, and even geometry! Some new topics in science this year will include States of Matter, Ecology and Conservation. As a continuation from previous years, we will continue to enhance our work in Readers' and Writers' Workshop. I anticipate a fun-filled and exciting year!
