Welcome To Technology

The Canton Intermediate School Computer Lab is a friendly, fun, environment where children can learn important skills that they will need in the ever changing technological world we live in.

The students have a 45 minute lab period each week, which involves both teacher lead discussion and independent assignment.  The computer curriculum integrates with the classroom to further enhance what the students have been taught in language arts, math, science and social studies.

Students are exposed to modern software packages including; Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint, and they are also given time to explore software tailored to student learning such as Type to Learn 4 and CoreFX art software.

The lab is also open to any student who wishes to work independently on a personal project or teacher assigned project during "Open Lab" sessions.

This year I am excited to offer a fifth grade videography club.

Sixth graders will have an opportunity to be involved with the Channel 39 Kidwitness News.
