We are in the midst of another industrial revolution that is changing the nature of skills needed in the workforce.
The fourth industrial revolution, builds on the third, which was the digital revolution. It blurs the line between the physical, digital and biological. An example of this is how AI machine learning like IBM's Watson helps doctors make medical diagnoses. Jobs are becoming increasing augmented with automation and technology. Science National Honor Society's Lila Hunt put this board together to celebrate the job skills needed for 2020 as voted on by top company CEOs for the World Economic Forum. New skills on the list include Emotional Intelligence and Cognitive flexibility. The top three skills needed for a job in the fourth industrial revolution are complex problem solving, critical thinking and creativity.
