12/12/2018 - SNHS helped to make Astronomy Night a great learning experience

On Thursday, December 6th Canton High School's Science National Honor Society hosted it's 3rd annual Astronomy Night!

Astronomy Night Committee members Cole Glasgow, Maggie First, Michael Cavanaugh, Ryan Nickerson, Alex Lederman and Maeve Balavender planned and ran the event under the excellent leadership of Lila Hunt. Some 20 high school students hosted activities such as telescope viewing, face painting, constructing constellations, making hot cocoa and building galaxy pinwheels. Around 75 people attended including many CIS students from SNHS outreach program there and students at Cherry Brook Elementary School. All of the SNHS students did a fantastic job planning for and creating a level of excitement about science and astronomy to students in town.
