8/9/2017 - Upcoming events in support of Canton High School Athletics

We wanted to give you two dates for some really fun events that you might want to attend in support of Canton High School athletics.

First, Lights on Canton is back this year with enthusiasm and determination to reach their fundraising goal of $250,000 and install the permanent lighting at the CMS/CHS Track & Field Athletic Complex.  Join them for their FIRST fundraiser of the year at Matterhorn Mini Golf on Monday, August 28th from 5-9 pm.  Enjoy one of our last summer evenings with family and friends and some spirited mini golf action!  Regular Matterhorn prices apply ($9.77 age 7 and up, $4 for child/spectator/scorekeeper, $6 replay).  Don’t miss our 50/50 raffle and other extras on the 28th.  Need more details?  Check out www.lightsoncanton.org or their “Lights On Canton” Facebook page.

Secondly, Friends of Canton Football will be holding it’s 13th Annual Friends of Canton Football Golf Tournament on Friday, September 8th at the Simsbury Farms Golf Course.  This year they will be joining forces with the Canton Athletic Booster Club in an effort to make the event larger and more profitable for both organizations.  This is the largest fundraiser to each group holds each year and the portion of the money raised for football, goes to offset the expenses associated with the football program including, but not limited to, coaches, transportation, officials, uniforms and equipment.  Monies allocated to the Booster Club will be used for all sports, at the discretion of it’s members.  They are registering golfers, offering sponsorships in the form of tee signs (with your family or business name) and welcoming all donations for their raffle and auctions to follow the tournament.  If you can’t golf, they welcome dinner-only guests who can participate in the raffles and auctions.  Check out this flyer and if you have questions, please contact Kathy Wood (President of Canton Football) or the Canton Athletics Booster Club President, Greg Skinner.
