8/31/2017 - Students go on Earth Day hike to Sleeping Giant State Park
15 Science National Honor Society students went on their annual Earth Day Hike to Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, CT.
Students hiked the challenging blue and white trails learning about Connecticut's geology and the efforts to preserve the area from traprock mining. The cool weather provided the perfect hiking conditions although the overcast skies did not permit seeing Long Island from the tower on top. Science National Honor Society is committed to promoting scientific knowledge among its members and the general public.
