SUBSTANCE FREE POST-GRADUATION PARTY
CANTON HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2017
Dear Senior Parents and Guardians:
The substance free graduation party (SFGP) committee has been busy planning this year’s post-graduation party! The goal of the evening is to provide the seniors with a fun filled night of entertainment and good food, while keeping them together (last time!) and safe. We have experienced nearly 100% attendance in past years and expect this year to be no different. This is a sign that the efforts are successful and appreciated.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 27th at 7:00 at the High School. We would love to have you join us in planning such an amazing evening for our kids.
The SFGP planning committee is asking for your assistance in providing this wonderful experience. The cost is approximately $200/student this year, with many of the costs “fixed”.
Below is a list of opportunities to contribute to the success of this event. Please remember that all cash donations are tax deductible and may qualify for an employer match program (PLEASE check with your company!). Many of you may want to take advantage of simply writing a check, taking the pressure off of attending the various other events we will be planning.
Check writing campaign:

Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser
New this year!! Under the cover of darkness, members of the Flocking committee will set up a flock of pink flamingos on the lawns of unsuspecting people on your list (see attached form). Accompanying notes will identify you as the sender. A few nights later, the flock of flamingos will migrate to another home. You can send flocks to honor graduates, special accomplishments, sports achievements, birthdays--anywhere that congratulations are in order for family and friends! All proceeds from the flocking fundraiser benefit the 2017 Canton SFGP.
Flocking will begin in March (weather permitting) and end shortly after graduation. First come, first served!! So get your orders in soon to ensure that we will have plenty of time to honor them before graduation!

In addition, we are looking for small group pictures of the seniors from over the years - kindergarten through 12th grade. Please look through your old pictures and send your favorites (re-enactments, graduations, school plays, music, sports). DEADLINE: May 1st
A few things to note
- Send electronic (.jpg) images ONLY to CantonHSGrad@gmail.com
- If you are sending pictures other than the required two images of your child, please remember there is limited space so only send your favorites
- Small group photos work better (3-5 kids max)
- Only pictures with graduation seniors will be used
Thank you to all the volunteers and contributors who will make this night possible. We wish the senior class a memorable and safe graduation!
Sincerely,
Jenny Bahre, Mary Huff and Holly Neddermann, Co-chairpersons
