12/5/2016 - Canton Students Take Home Awards from Model UN Debate at the University of Hartford

Several awards were given to Canton Students at this weekend's Model UN debate.  Congratulations to all!

Clark Walburger and Collin Duran were awarded the "Best Delegation Award" as North Korea in the World Affairs Council Model UN simulation at the University of Hartford. This award is selected from among 125 delegates who debated the future of nuclear power.

Additionally, Lindsay Vacca and Shian Earlington received the "Innovation Award" as delegates from Indonesia for their creative solutions to the debate over Climate change and the impact upon food security. This too was awarded to Lindsay and Shian from amongst 100 participants.

Congratulations to these four Model UN members as well as all 29 members who participated this weekend at the University of Hartford. 
Congratulations also goes out to junior Evan Mingo and senior Chloe Gucciardi for chairing and moderating respectfully two separate committees at the same Model UN Conference this weekend at the University of Hartford. 

Evan and Chloe each applied, interviewed, and after having been awarded, trained for these specific roles at the conference.

Congratulations Evan and Chloe. Way to represent Canton!
