11/4/2016 - Science National Honor Society Induction Ceremony
On Wednesday, October 26th, the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) of Canton High School celebrated its new inductees in its second annual induction ceremony.
After a brief reception of an assortment of snacks, proud parents of the new SNHS members heard speeches from the society's four officers, their teacher adviser, Ms. Ott, and SNHS member Leah Eschenbrenner, who delivered an inspiring speech on what science means to her and the importance of related careers. Afterwards, the new inductees received their deserved certificates and took a group photo to capture the moment. Being accepted as members of the Science National Honor Society is a rigorous accomplishment that students and their parents should be proud of because of the extremely selective requirements to join the club. To be invited to apply, for SNHS membership, students must have a weighed GPA higher than 10.00, and they must retain the following un-weighted grades an A- in their science courses, &/or B- for AP level sciences.
