9/15/2016 - Trout in the Classroom!

The Academic Biology and AP Environmental Science Classes will be participating in a project with Trout Unlimited.  Trout Unlimited Connecticut is a grassroots conservation organization dedicated to protect, reconnect, restore and sustain Connecticut's coldwater resources.

Part of the
National Trout Unlimited organization, founded in 1959, Trout Unlimited Connecticut is the unifying body statewide, connecting more than 3,500 members spread among eight chapters in every region of the state.

Through the Trout in the Classroom project, students will be raising trout eggs to fingerlings, monitoring water quality, engaging in stream habitat study, learning to appreciate water resources, fostering a conservation ethic, and understanding ecosystem connectivity.
