4/30/2021 - CHS Science Students Do Some Spring Cleaning

This week, CHS science students joined with Mr. Gawitt and Ms. Jorgensen in spring cleaning and weeding of our butterfly attracting perennial flower beds and herb gardens after school.

The gardens were originally planted in 2018 after fundraising and research work done by the SEARCH Environmental Club.  The gardens include heliopsis, astilbe, speckled lungwort, sedum, blue coneflower, bee balm, mints, thyme, sage, oregano and coral bells.  Many of these will be in full bloom when we return in the fall and help to beautify the outside space surrounding the science wing. Next up:  Mr. Gregorian-Michaelsen’s students will take on the greenhouse renovation project in May!
