For those of you who were not able to attend, please view this link.
Welcome to Canton High School Class of 2023! All members of the Canton High School faculty and staff are eager to welcome you.
On Wednesday, August 21st from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm there will be an orientation program for incoming 9th grade students sponsored by the Student Council. Freshman orientation is intended to help students transition from middle school to high school. Under the direction of Student Council, many upperclassmen and teachers will be present to help guide incoming freshmen throughout the building and engage in various activities with their fellow CHS students. We hope you can all attend.
The program will also include the following opportunities:
Meet School Administrators, Class Advisors, School Counselors, and other key personnel
Hear from current Student Council members and other student leaders about their freshman year experience
Tour the school and locate locker
Have fun and participate in team-building activities with current CHS students
Enjoy a pizza lunch at the end!
In order for your student to receive his or her Chromebook on this day and be ready for the first day of school, we MUST have the insurance forms with the following information:
Chromebook insurance form – Signed by both parent and student. Please note that the $75 insurance cost covers the life of the Chromebook, and is not an annual expense. Purchasing of insurance is encouraged, as one out of pocket repair could likely exceed the cost of the insurance coverage.
The event will conclude with a pizza lunch for the students.
We hope that your son or daughter will attend this important event as these activities will make your student feel more comfortable as they enter the building on August 28th.
However, we realize there are circumstances which may prohibit your student from attending this event. For that instance, we will be posting all information on the CHS website. In addition, your student should come to the main office on either August 22, 23, and 26 between the hours of 10 am and noon with completed paperwork in order to pick up their Chromebook.
