On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of Canton Intermediate School, I extend a warm welcome to you while you visit our website. Canton Intermediate School has a proud tradition and reputation of being a school with high standards in academic preparation and a school devoted to a child's well being. We serve a population of approximately 400 students, grades four through six.

CIS utilizes the "responsive classroom" approach to teaching and learning that fosters safe, challenging, and joyful classrooms. Through daily morning meetings with the students and the bringing together of academic and social learning throughout the school day, we advance the academic mission of our school as we promote our students to be good citizens.

Canton Intermediate School believes that a child's success is directly related to our school, home, and community partnership. We know that the finest academic, social and emotional success for each child in our school is achieved through strong school, home, and community support.
