Vision Statement

Digital Portfolios go beyond the measure and management of classroom assignments and assessments. They are a resource for developing the creative, collaborative, and critical thinking skills necessary to succeed in a culturally diverse, technologically complex world. More importantly, they will encourage self-reflection and a view of learning as a life-long endeavor, an integral part of personal growth and achievement over time.

Five Expectations for Student Learning

1. Develop and demonstrate a knowledge, awareness, and understanding of the responsibilities of citizenship and the diversities of American and global cultures.
2. Develop and demonstrate the skills necessary to reach academic potential and become a life long learner.
3. Develop and demonstrate the ability to listen, view, and read with understanding and to speak and write effectively.
4. Develop and demonstrate an ability to formulate questions, to research information, to solve problems, and to make cogent decisions
5. Develop and demonstrate creative skills as well as the ability to recognize and appreciate the creativity of others.
