Art of Indigenous People celebrates the diversity and beauty of art forms from many cultures around the world.The course focuses on exposing students to a vast variety of world wide artistic expressions and values; utilizing geography, language, history, religion, cultural traditions, music, foods and other perspectives that offer endless possibilities to investigate through artistic expression.Students will create their own art forms while studying the following cultures: Africa (Middle East), Asia,( China, Japan), Latin America, Central America (Panama, Guatemala), North America (American Indian, Mexican, Mayan, Aztec ), South America( Peru), Australia, Eastern Europe. In addition, AIP incorporates using technology. The advanced level courses (AIP 2, 3 ) will study the same cultures but delve deeper into these art forms from around the world.
