ELA 7 is a full-year course for grade 7 students. The focus of the course is to develop literate individuals. Reading, writing, listening, speaking and thinking activities are incorporated to develop as readers and writers through literature-based instruction.

Critical Reading and Writing 7
CRW 7 is a 30-day course given to all grade 7 students. The focus of the course is to develop critical thinking skills and the ability to use text at a higher level.

Critical Reading and Writing 8
CRW 8 is a 30-day course given in conjunction with Computer 8. Students deal critically with text, employing the scientific method. A research project is developed by the student and final project of written report and computer program is used to demonstrate the ability to think ciritically using the scientific method.
