Newsletter   Technology June 2008 Another year has passed in the C.I.S. Computer Lab. We have put a few miles on our new machines and learned so much about the differences between Mac’s and P.C.’s. It’s hard to comprehend how much learning, document production, and student research has taken place in this room since last September. The topics have been broad, ranging from Civil Rights to The Civil War, and Immigration to Adaptation. We have discovered that through computers and technology we have a gateway to an amazing amount of information, and “Just Google It” is not the answer to everything. I encourage all students and their families to utilize the Canton Schools webpage during the summer. We have many useful links, search engines and databases available to you that ensure that children are searching in safe places. Please check them out at www.cantonschools.org under resources for students. I would like to take this chance to wish the departing sixth graders all the best for the future.
